What This Means
Freezer sensor connector CN20 disconnected; Freezer Thermistor (502AT) defective, shorted, or open; Wiring harness damaged from freezer evaporator to MAIN PCB; MAIN PCB connector CN20 bad contact or damaged; Sensor resistance out of specifications
What actually causes this:
Freezer sensor wire came loose at connection point or sensor element failed
First Thing to Check
Check freezer sensor connector is fully plugged in
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check MAIN PCB Connector CN20 is fully inserted
- 2
2. Measure voltage between CN20-10 (Yellow) and CN20-12 (Yellow) - normal: 0.6V to 4.6V
- 3
3. Measure resistance between CN20-10 ↔ CN20-12 - compare to temperature table
- 4
4. Verify IC01 MICOM #7 pin 7 input voltage
- 5
5. Inspect MAIN PCB for cold solder and SMD component defects
